Job Purpose
Reporting to the Managing Director - Ireland, the Head of Fleet - Ireland will define and deliver the national fleet strategy across the Group’s commercial vehicle portfolio. The role will drive sustainable volume, revenue, margin and market-share growth across corporate, leasing, rental, public-sector and strategic fleet customers. This is a senior, externally facing leadership position requiring strong commercial capability, deep knowledge of the Irish fleet market and effective collaboration across sales, dealer operations, marketing, product, finance, supply chain and aftersales.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fleet Strategy and Commercial Leadership: Develop and execute the national fleet sales strategy for Ireland, aligned with Harris Group’s commercial growth and electrification objectives. Own fleet volume, revenue, margin and vehicle-mix targets, identify priority sectors and establish clear go-to-market plans. 2. National Fleet Sales Performance: Lead the acquisition, development and retention of national, corporate and strategic fleet customers. Establish sales priorities, monitor conversion and performance, and ensure delivery against agreed commercial targets. 3. Key Account and Partner Management: Build senior relationships with fleet decision-makers, leasing companies, rental operators, public-sector bodies and mobility partners. Act as executive sponsor for key accounts, ensuring contractual commitments and service expectations are met. 4. Major Tenders and Commercial Opportunities: Lead major fleet tenders, frameworks and strategic opportunities, coordinating pricing strategy, supply planning, vehicle specification, conversions, funding and commercial terms. Ensure proposals are competitive, compliant and commercially sustainable. 5. EV and Solution-Led Fleet Selling: Position Harris Group and its brands as trusted partners in fleet electrification. Work with internal teams and external partners to deliver integrated solutions covering vehicles, conversions, charging, funding and aftersales support, including transition planning and total-cost-of-ownership analysis. 6. Customer Retention and Account Growth: Conduct regular strategic business reviews with key customers to assess service delivery, address risks and identify renewal, expansion and electrification opportunities. Build long-term partnerships that create repeatable, profitable growth. 7. Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with dealer operations, sales, marketing, product, finance, supply chain, vehicle conversions and aftersales teams to deliver a coordinated national fleet proposition and a consistent customer experience. 8. Market Insight and Brand Representation: Monitor the Irish fleet, leasing, rental and commercial vehicle markets, including competitor activity, procurement trends and emerging technologies. Represent Harris Group at senior customer meetings and industry events, and use market insight to influence product, pricing and marketing decisions. 9. Governance, Forecasting and Reporting: Maintain robust fleet pipeline management, forecasting and CRM reporting. Provide regular performance updates and market insight to senior leadership, manage activity within agreed budgets and ensure compliance with pricing structures, approval processes and internal governance. |

Essential Skills and Experience
- A minimum of five years’ senior-level experience in fleet sales within the automotive, light commercial vehicle or mobility sector.
- Proven success managing national or strategic fleet accounts and delivering volume, revenue and margin targets.
- Strong understanding of the Irish fleet, leasing, rental and public-sector procurement markets.
- Demonstrated experience selling complex, solution-led propositions and leading major tenders or framework opportunities.
- Strong commercial judgement with proven negotiation, influencing and stakeholder-management capability.
- Strategic thinking, strong business acumen and the ability to translate market insight into clear commercial plans.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with senior fleet decision-makers, leasing partners and other external stakeholders.
- Experience of electric or alternative-fuel vehicle fleets and total-cost-of-ownership modelling is highly desirable.
- Experience gained with an OEM, vehicle importer or distributor, leasing company or major dealer group is desirable.
- Strong CRM, pipeline-management, forecasting and senior-level reporting capability.
- Project management and organisational skills.
- Understanding of financial and budgeting concepts.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Flexible with regards to travel and working hours.
